IOC Rejects The New Messiah
The International Olympic Committee on Friday eliminated Chicago and Tokyo as contenders to host the 2016 Games. Still under consideration to host the two-week sporting spectacle are Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Madrid, Spain. After the cities made their presentations to the IOC on Friday, the IOC members sat down to cast their votes in a secret ballot.
“It’s not a requirement for heads of state to come to our session,” said the IOC spokeswoman, who asked not to be named. “We are obviously very honored if they decide to come, but there’s no particular requirement.”
So we can write this little trip off as another waste of time and money by Teh One. Now that he has nothing important left to do, how about figuring out a plan of action for Afghanistan?
UPDATE: Rio gets the 2016 games. Good for them. There hasn’t been a South American Olympics in ... ever?
Better yet: pundits are seeing Oblahma & the Klingon’s quickie visit to the Netherlands as an insult. Hey, he came, he spoke about himself, he blamed Bush. Shouldn’t that be enough to get him whatever he wants?
Chicago had long been seen as a front-runner and got the highest possible level of support — from President Barack Obama himself. But he only spent a few hours in the Danish capital where the vote was held and left before the result was announced. Former IOC member Kai Holm said that the brevity of his appearance may have counted against him.
The short stopover was “too business-like,” Holm said. “It can be that some IOC members see it as a lack of respect.”
Senior Australian IOC member Kevan Gosper surmised that Asian voters may have banded together for Tokyo in the first round, at Chicago’s expense.
“I’m shocked,” Gosper said. “The whole thing doesn’t make sense other than there has been a stupid bloc vote.”
He worried that the shock exit could do “untold damage” to the already testy relations between the IOC and the U.S. Olympic Committee. They had recent flare-ups over revenue sharing and a USOC TV network.
“To have the president of the United States and his wife personally appear, then this should happen in the first round is awful and totally undeserving,” Gosper said.
The European-dominated IOC’s last two experiences in the United States were bad: the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics were sullied by a bribery scandal and logistical problems and a bombing hit the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
Obama had held out the enticing prospect of a Chicago games helping to reconnect the United States with the world after the presidency of George W. Bush. He told the IOC earlier Friday that the “full force of the White House” would be applied so “visitors from all around the world feel welcome and will come away with a sense of the incredible diversity of the American people.”
Now, Chicago can only rue what might have been. And Obama’s gamble of expending his own political capital on the bid backfired.

It’s also the name of the latest fad dance sweeping Rio this summer, a kind of pelvic shaking version of the macarena set to a techno amazon beat. Lots of thrustin’ goin’ on, although it mainly seems to be a man’s dance. So Brazil is using dance (it’s what they do best!) to give Obama a big old “fuck you”! Love it!

ACORN gets an new $million
WTF?? I thought their funding got shut down. So why the heck is DHS giving these thieving bastards almost a MILLION DOLLARS through FEMA as part of a Fire Safety and Prevention program??

Earlier this month and despite the public scrutiny over the voter fraud and felony criminal activity associated with ACORN, the Department of Homeland Security went ahead and granted $997,402 to ACORN under the FY 2008 Fire Prevention and Safety Program.
To most people, the timing and the amount of the grant would seem off base, but when you take into account the fact that DHS awarded ACORN–an organization with no clear expertise in fire safety and prevention–a fire prevention and safety grant, it’s just plain offensive.
With fire departments all over Louisiana – and the rest of the country – struggling to make ends meet and get the equipment and training they need to protect their local communities, the idea of a million dollar grant going to ACORN is unsettling, to say the least.
I’ve had grave reservations about ACORN for some time, and over the past year we’ve seen numerous examples of serious allegations of wrongdoing on the part of this organization and its employees across the country. I simply can’t see the logic behind diverting much needed funding from worthy fire departments to this organization.
So last week, I wrote a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano requesting that she rescind this grant from ACORN. As of today, the Secretary has not responded to my request. This site will post a copy of the letter for you to read and see for yourself.
Rest assured, I’ll keep working to help prevent further ACORN schemes to procure federal money.
Try again Obamacorn. You can’t play Hide Da Moneys when the whole damn country is watching. Son of a bitch. Take these mothers down.

First, let me start off with a joke one of the guys at work told me as we were clocking off for the day:

There is a battle for America’s behinds.
It is a fight over toilet paper: the kind that is blanket-fluffy and getting fluffier so fast that manufacturers are running out of synonyms for “soft” (Quilted Northern Ultra Plush is the first big brand to go three-ply and three-adjective).
It’s a menace, environmental groups say — and a dark-comedy example of American excess.
The reason, they say, is that plush U.S. toilet paper is usually made by chopping down and grinding up trees that were decades or even a century old. They want Americans, like Europeans, to wipe with tissue made from recycled paper goods.
It has been slow going. Big toilet-paper makers say that they’ve taken steps to become more Earth-friendly but that their customers still want the soft stuff, so they’re still selling it.
This summer, two of the best-known combatants in this fight signed a surprising truce, with a big tissue maker promising to do better. But the larger battle goes on — the ultimate test of how green Americans will be when nobody’s watching.
“At what price softness?” said Tim Spring, chief executive of Marcal Manufacturing, a New Jersey paper maker that is trying to persuade customers to try 100 percent recycled paper. “Should I contribute to clear-cutting and deforestation because the big [marketing] machine has told me that softness is important?”
He added: “You’re not giving up the world here.”
Toilet paper is far from being the biggest threat to the world’s forests: together with facial tissue, it accounts for 5 percent of the U.S. forest-products industry, according to industry figures. Paper and cardboard packaging makes up 26 percent of the industry, although more than half is made from recycled products. Newspapers account for 3 percent.
But environmentalists say 5 percent is still too much.
Doesn’t look recycled. Just looks used…

So, having read that, now read the analysis to gain this insight into the White House: Van Jones is NOT A RADICAL to them. He thinks just the same way they do, and sees the world from the same perspective.

Having watched the rise of Van Jones, why did Team Obama nonetheless “recruit” him into the White house? Because what Jones says and believes is well within the range of what Obama believes, and thus not jarrring to him and his crew.
If Jones is now beyond the pale, it is only because the Obama crowd finally hears him through the filter of a controversy. When Obama and company heard him only through the filter of what they believe, there was no controversy because his statements—e.g., his attack on Israeli “occupation” dating back to 1948 and his claim that “U.S. tax dollars are funding violence against people of color inside the U.S. borders and outside the US borders”—are not particularly controversial to Team Obama.
This, of course, is the Rev. Jeremiah Wright phenomenon all over again. Wright’s racist, anti-Israeli, anti-American statements didn’t jar Obama while he was sitting in Wrights’s church for 20 years because they were not that different from what Obama believes.

It is a real low-ball estimate that there are now 5 guns for every 4 people in the land, even though some continue to say that only 1 person in 4 owns a firearm. (if I had to bet, and you could get a real count, I’d say 2 guns per citizen, maybe 2.5. Seriously) Which means - even using the “official” estimate, all us gun owners have about 5 guns each. Yeah, that sounds about right. Many of us own at least 5 for each family member. They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”
Now, he finds himself under the bus, with Rev. Wright, Bill Ayers, and other Obama associates who embarrassed the president by leaving a paper trail of the extremism that unites them. But his departure can’t bring closure. Jones is a racist, anti-American, self-described Communist with a soft-spot for cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal and an unshakable notion that 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina were conspiracies. ... He once likened his rage to those who join guerrilla forces. He was so devoted to Messianic statism that he once said green jobs would “repair our souls.” (I feel defiled even quoting that line on a Sunday.) If you had purchased a stock in January of this year that had lost as much of its value as Barack Obama, you would be desperate to sell it by now. The problem is, the only buyers would be the mainstream media and their stock has been falling too.
I cannot think of a single President in our 233 year history that was so disliked by so many Americans in so short a time. His polling numbers drop daily and he is poised to make history by losing the confidence and support vital to the ability to lead, let alone to administer the federal government.
It is his judgment that is the issue and, concurrent with that, his actions. If anyone would have predicted that he would impose so much debt on the nation in so short a time they would have been called mad. Barely seven months into his administration the estimated national deficit will be reset at nine trillion dollars between now and 2019.
The federal government now owns General Motors after advancing $60 billion to avoid bankruptcy and then standing by as it went into bankruptcy. We own a huge insurance company, AIG. The recent “Cash for Clunkers” program swiftly ran out of cash and may end up bankrupting participating auto dealers. It has already severely impacted the sale of used cars, a major part of the auto market.
Under Obama, an ever-increasing shadow government of “czars” has been established; people who are presumably not encumbered by the laws that govern appointed Cabinet secretaries. Most have not been vetted, nor approved by Congress and too many have unsavory backgrounds and beliefs.
The current attempt to take over one-sixth of the nation’s economy by socializing the healthcare system is being resisted by millions of Americans, some of whom are showing up at town hall meetings and creating “tea parties” to air their grievances. As many as a million will likely fill the streets of Washington to protest on September 12.
With the exception of liberalism’s “true believers”, some 28 percent of whom will always think Obama is doing a great job, people are wondering if there is some way to remove him from holding the office for the remainder of his term, doing even more damage.
Can a President resign? Yes, Richard Nixon did; the first in the history of the nation, undone by his own paranoia and over-zealous White House henchmen. That scenario is beginning to loom large in the minds of Americans when they give thought to those “czars” and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, the man who never wants to “waste” a crisis.
Americans want to clean house. Congressmen returning from a stormy recess are going to assess the value of supporting the President, the Senate Majority Leader, or the Speaker of the House. The Democrats have near total political power in Congress, but there is a limit to party loyalty and it’s called getting re-elected.
Congress has tried the “bread and circuses” approach to calming the masses. It hasn’t worked. It has tried demonizing protesters as “un-American”. It hasn’t worked. It is running out of options and those that remain include internment camps.
America has demonstrated the ability to right itself after making bad decisions such as Prohibition and previous poor leadership. It is being put to the test again by Barack Obama.
It’s time to resign, Mr. President.

And so it begins
I’m taking a short break from hauling clothes and stuff over to the new condo apartment. At least it isn’t quite as hot and muggy as it was yesterday.
Here’s one of those signs and portents maybe. At least it shows one place the government is willing to make some cuts. A kind of “put granny on the ice floe” kind of cut, because it’s mostly the seniors who are collecting Social Security.
Millions of older people face shrinking Social Security checks next year, the first time in a generation that payments would not rise.
The trustees who oversee Social Security are projecting there won’t be a cost of living adjustment (COLA) for the next two years. That hasn’t happened since automatic increases were adopted in 1975.
By law, Social Security benefits cannot go down. Nevertheless, monthly payments would drop for millions of people in the Medicare prescription drug program because the premiums, which often are deducted from Social Security payments, are scheduled to go up slightly.
“I will promise you, they count on that COLA,” said Barbara Kennelly, a former Democratic congresswoman from Connecticut who now heads the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. “To some people, it might not be a big deal. But to seniors, especially with their health care costs, it is a big deal.”
Cost of living adjustments are pegged to inflation, which has been negative this year, largely because energy prices are below 2008 levels.
Advocates say older people still face higher prices because they spend a disproportionate amount of their income on health care, where costs rise faster than inflation. Many also have suffered from declining home values and shrinking stock portfolios just as they are relying on those assets for income.
“For many elderly, they don’t feel that inflation is low because their expenses are still going up,” said David Certner, legislative policy director for AARP. “Anyone who has savings and investments has seen some serious losses.”
Gosh, this administration sure is making a heck of an impression on all the older folks, aren’t they? With the Death Panel parts of the health care takeover bill, and now this. I wonder what Teh One’s popularity rating would be if a survey of actual voters over 55 who are not on government handouts was taken? Maybe he’d score a One there too?

E.D. Hill, found at last
Remember the horrible E.D. Hill “disaster” on Fox News? She used to have her own show on that network. Then one day, early June 2008, she was reading the teleprompter, doing the teaser for an upcoming segment. That segment was for one of their famous “body language” pieces, and the body language to be analyzed was the Obama’s dap. You know, this one:
So she reads the teleprompter, which says “what is that? Is that some kind of terrorist thing?” (or words to that effect). Because, you know, who would ever make that association?
and then the excrement impacted the oscillator at high lateral velocity. The rabid left screamed for her head, even though they wouldn’t be caught dead watching Fox News. Within a couple days E.D. was on TV, apologizing for doing her job, which is to be pretty and read aloud what it says on the teleprompter:
But to no avail. E.D. was thrown under the bus. Her show was canceled instantly, and she was off the air. Never to be seen from again. Such stalwart lions of journalism they have at FoxNews, standing behind their people to the bitter end. NOT.
Well, it turns out that E.D. Hill kept her job at Fox for a few more months, until her contract ran out. And then, when nobody was looking, they gave her the boot.
E.D. Hill, Fox Contract Not Renewed. Fired Over Obama Comment?

TVNewser has an exclusive on the final fate of invisible Fox personality E.D. Hill today. Fox has decided not to renew E.D.’s contract, so she will be finally leaving the Fox News Channel after being off the air since June.
Some may remember the left-media storm targeting E. D. Hill that occurred back on June 6 when she off handedly said that Barack and Michelle’s on stage fist bump was a “terrorist fist jab.” The Huffington Post and Media Matters raised a storm of protest and soon after, E.D. Hill lost her Fox show.
Well, it seems to have taken some time, but as TVNewser reports Fox has announced they are not going to renew Hill’s contract when it expires early in 2009.
That was back in November. Her contract was up in January. Where is she now? As of May 1st, she’s doing internet radio. From Sandy Springs Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

Birthers
I haven’t run too many stories on this Obama birth certificate stuff. It seemed too far out, at least at first. Many of the lawsuits brought up on this subject were thrown out. Several of the original movers and shakers were people with, um, a bit of a wobbly reputation. But the story persists. Just last week I watched Ann Coulter cut the Birthers off at the knees, write them off as nut cases, and distance herself from their quest. Birthers are the new 9/11 Conspiracy Truthers.
But unlike the Truthers, the Birthers questions can be answered. It really does look like our new President is hiding his past. Sure, he came out of nowhere, with very little job experience, and lied in public left and lefter about his former associates, commies and agitators all. And he got away with it. Even though he wrote in his two books how he hung out with these types, nobody listened. So We elected a pig in a poke, a guy with no background, a halfrican enigma who’s only real skill was delivering meaningless sound bites that sounded real nice.
But Obama’s past is still under wraps. Nobody can dig up any information on him. Not his primary school records, not his college work, just one or two short essays from his time as president of the Harvard Law Review. Nobody can be found who took his courses, yet we’re told he was a professor of Constitutional Law, or at least a guest lecturer on the subject. Somewhere in between? Where’s the Beef™? He worked at a law office. Right down the hall from Bill Ayers. The guy who he claims not to know. The guy who used to babysit his kids. Under the bus. But even his former coworkers hardly knew he was there. Going back a bit in time, how did this guy get into Ivy League schools? Who paid the tuition? And then there’s that whole ACORN connection, and his time spent as a rabble rouser and protester trainer community organizer and grass roots campaigning consultant. It’s all a big mystery. We’ve been fed a pile of misinformation, yet at the same time nuggets of truth may have been delivered but were then ignored. Go figure. Most folks didn’t notice it. Most folks don’t question his eligibility to be President. Very few even understand the laws that were in place back in 1961, and even fewer realize that those are the laws that apply to the Birther question, not the laws we have today. Heck, I had to go back and count months on my fingers to accept that his mother was actually a statutory rape victim; she wasn’t 18 yet when she became pregnant with him. So this confusing thing gets swept under the bus rug. Except that every week, every time some news piece mentions Africa, we hear how thrilled the people there are that we in the USA actually have a President who was born in Africa. So the rumors don’t die.
Ok, here’s the latest. And it comes from World Net Daily. A paper that hasn’t had the best reputation for journalistic integrity in the past. But who can point that finger anymore? No paper seems to have much integrity anymore, and at least one of those gossip rags has broken a major story in the past that the “respected” papers wouldn’t touch. So where does that leave us?

Orly Taitz, who has filed a number of lawsuits demanding proof of Barack Obama’s eligibility to serve as president, has released a copy of what purports to be a Kenyan certification of birth and has filed a new motion in U.S. District Court for its authentication.The document lists Obama’s parents as Barack Hussein Obama and Stanley Ann Obama, formerly Stanley Ann Dunham, the birth date as Aug. 4, 1961, and the hospital
of birth as Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya.No doctor is listed. But the alleged certificate bears the signature of the deputy registrar of Coast Province, Joshua Simon Oduya. It was allegedly issued as a certified copy of the original in February 1964.
WND was able to obtain other birth certificates from Kenya for purposes of comparison, and the form of the documents appear to be identical.

Taitz told WND that the document came from an anonymous source who doesn’t want his name known because “he’s afraid for his life.”Taitz’s motion, filed yesterday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, requests the purported evidence of Obama’s birth – both the alleged birth certificate and foreign records not yet obtained – be preserved from destruction, asks for permission to legally request documents from Kenya and seeks a subpoena for deposition from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“I filed the motion with the court asking for expedited discovery, which would allow me to start subpoenas and depositions even before Obama and the government responds,” Taitz told WND. “I am asking the judge to give me the power to subpoena the documents from the Kenyan embassy and to require a deposition from Hillary Clinton so they will be forced to authenticate [the birth certificate].

Taitz’s most celebrated case involved a military officer, Maj. Stefan Cook, whose order to deploy to Afghanistan was revoked when he challenged Obama’s eligibility to hold office. That case has now been refiled in federal court in Florida, raising the specter of a class-action claim among members of the military that their orders aren’t valid because of questions surrounding Obama’s constitutional eligibility.

It looks like Taitz has a document, and he has a client with actual standing. So his case ought not to be dismissed out of hand, as so many of the other ones were.
The first problem, as I see it, is that the public has come to realize that nothing is true anymore, no document can be trusted as genuine, and that the media will lie, cheat, steal, and flout Fake But Accurate to achieve their goals. All the trust has been leeched from the system. Truth is not true unless you want it to be. OJ didn’t do it. (well, until he wrote a book saying how he did it). Bush lied. When he didn’t. Clinton was framed, because it was just sex and everybody lies about that. Bush stole the election. Twice! 9/11 was an inside job. The moon landing was faked. The Tet Offensive was a victory for North Vietnam and America was in an unwinnable war there. The lying liars and the lies they’ve told have worn away trust until it’s not even a shadow anymore. So who are you going to believe? Some faceless official in Hawaii, who claims a recent digital record is the real thing, supported by a web page that accepts a recent reprint as the original?
If the Kenyan allegation is correct, then we have an even bigger second problem. That would mean that Obama is a usurper, an illegitimate president. Now, how are you going to toss this guy out of office without massive amounts of blood in the streets? Because you know the inner cities will burn. You know that every black person in America is going to go apeshit. And half of the white people will somehow see this as a coup by those secret forces that really run the world - even though it would be a Democrat majority House and Senate doing the tossing. If all this high speed push to Socialism hasn’t brought the nation to the edge of violent revolution, giving a Kenyan the boot will do it. And the Red Banner will have it’s greatest martyr ever.

This has been all over the Honduran and Central American press for more than 24 hours but, as Alberto de la Cruz of Babalu Blog points out, no English speaking wire service or media has picked up on it yet.
Authorities seized several computers used by former president Zelaya that contained “official” results of the constitutional referendum that was never held showing his bid to change the law so that he could run for office again winning easily.
Taking a page right out of the leftist dictator’s handbook, these computers, according to the news report, contained the official and certified results of the illegal constitutional referendum Zelaya wanted to conduct that never took place. The results of this fraudulent vote was tilted heavily in Zelaya’s favor, ensuring he could go ahead and illegally change the constitution so he could remain in power for as long as he wanted to. ACORN, I’m sure, is taking notes.
This is the man that the OAS, the UN, and the Obama State Department want the Honduran people to reinstall as their leader.

The National Directors of Criminal Investigation seized various computers from the Presidential Palace that had recorded the supposed results of the referendum to reform the constitution that the deposed leader, Manuel Zelaya, was planning to conduct on July 28, the day he was removed from office.
The official investigation now deals with the possible crime of fraud and falsification of documents due to the fact that some of the certified voting results had been filled with the personal information of individuals that supposedly participated in the failed referendum that did not take place because of the coup.
One of the district attorneys that participated in the operation that took place this Friday showed reporters an official voting result from the Technical Institute Luis Bogran, of Tegucigalpa, in which the specific number of people that participated in table 345, where there were 550 ballots, 450 of which were votes in favor of Zelaya’s proposal and 30 were against, in addition to 20 blank ballots and 30 ballots, which were nullified.
The seizure took place on the third floor of the building attached to the Ministry of the Presidency that had been rented to the ex-minister of the Interior, Enrique Flores Lanza. The deputy district attorney, Roberto Ramirez, declared this area as a “crime scene” and, although he did not want to provide further details, said that further evidence had been found that could be categorized as crimes of fraud, embezzlement of funds, falsification of documents, and abuse of authority.

At an impromptu appearance at the daily White House briefing, Obama said he spoke with Crowley over the phone, and said he wanted to share a beer with Crowley and Gates at the White House.
“Because this has been ratcheting up and I helped contribute to ratcheting it up, I want to make clear that in my choice of words I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sgt. Crowley specifically and I could have calibrated those words differently.”“My sense is you’ve got two good people in a circumstance in which neither of them were able to resolve it the way the wanted to resolve it,” Obama added.
Earlier in the day Friday, the Cambridge and area police unions voiced their support for Crowley and called for an apology from Obama for his statement.
“His remarks were obviously misdirected but made it worse yet by suggesting somehow this case should remind us of a history of racial abuse by law enforcement,” Dennis O’Connor, president of the Cambridge Police Superior Officers Association, said at a news conference.
O’Connor also referred to statements made by Governor Deval Patrick—the state’s first black governor—who called the arrest “every black man’s nightmare.”
“Whatever may be the history, we deeply resent the implications and reject any suggestion that in this case or any other case that they’ve allowed a person’s race to direct their activities. However we hope they will reflect upon their past comments and apologize to the men and women of the Cambridge Police Department,” O’Connor said.
Obama has said he was surprised by the controversy sparked by his comments.
Yup, you read that right. He was honestly, actually surprised that anyone would resent his divine pronouncement, or that anyone would get their hackles up in defense or outrage of the treatment of a white police officer who dealt properly with a trouble-making, irritable, uncooperative black man. And then it turned out that Officer Coply was an official Department Racial Healer of the highest magnitude. Oopsy!
Guess what, Jinete de césped? Looks like the honeymoon, maybe she is over, no?
